We contacted Amazon and Amazon took care of this issue. (How do we know that is old? We found a coupon which expired 2010 or sometimes ago inside the bottle)My son was really in the need of the bottle and okay with the picture, so we ended up keeping the bottle. But, within a week the picture started to come off. Within the month almost all the paint was gone. We never put it in the dish washer and always hand washed with only the soft side of sponge. Then, my son dropped it two weeks ago and broke the plastic top. We liked the functionality of the bottle, so I was willing to buy a new one if Thermos would confirm that the paint issue has been improved since the old model and the plastic may have been replace with a little more durable shock resistance material. This is the perfect size to bring everywhere. My son brings it to school, on camping trips and day outings. We mostly use it for water but have put juice and chocolate milk in it on occasion.
